The British Society for Clinical Psychophysiology (BSCP) was formed in July 1999 as a Not for Profit professional & representational body for psychotherapists who work within the new paradigm framework of integrative-medicine and mind-body therapy (clinical psycho-physiology)

BSCP is involved in accrediting training courses in Clinical-Psychophysiology, Psycho-dynamic Psychotherapy, and Clinical Hypnotherapy and maintains a voluntary register of individual practitioners.

BSCP is included (with UKCP and BACP) by the Department of Health (DoH) in the consultation process for Statutory Regulation of the profession of Psychotherapy and the Psychological Therapies in the UK.
